{"id":134988,"date":"2023-12-05T21:59:07","date_gmt":"2023-12-05T21:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fin2me.com\/?p=134988"},"modified":"2023-12-05T21:59:07","modified_gmt":"2023-12-05T21:59:07","slug":"braverman-invites-heckler-up-to-join-her-on-stage-at-tense-awards-ceremony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fin2me.com\/politics\/braverman-invites-heckler-up-to-join-her-on-stage-at-tense-awards-ceremony\/","title":{"rendered":"Braverman invites heckler up to join her on stage at tense awards ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/139\/590x\/secondary\/5101103.jpg?r=1701812717510\"><\/p>\n<p>Suella Braverman has invited a heckler to join her on stage because she had \u201cso much to say\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The former Home Secretary was speaking at the Political Cartoon of the Year Awards when she was disrupted by a \u201cpersistent\u201d audience member.<\/p>\n<p>In a video posted online, Ms Braverman suggested that one cartoon characterised her \u201cas the girls from the Exorcist\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She told how one review described it as \u201cdisturbing in a very entertaining way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/139\/590x\/secondary\/5101100.jpg?r=1701812717553\"><\/p>\n<p>Ms Braverman added: \u201cI\u2019m not sure if that\u2019s a compliment. I don\u2019t think it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One heckler can be heard shouting: \u201cIt\u2019s not\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Turning towards the audience member, the top Tory MP said: \u201cWould you like to come up? You\u2019ve got so much to say. Come on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A host of the event can be heard saying to Ms Braverman: \u201cNo, no keep going\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The heckler does come on to the stage and says to the politician: \u201cHi, so nice to meet you\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The host leaps on to the stage to stand between the pair saying \u201cWe\u2019ll do the boxing match afterwards. Let Suella finish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the heckler leaves the stage, she says: \u201cLove you.
