Argos is giving away £15,000 to help fool proof Christmas this year

This year Argos are hoping to help ‘fool proof’ your Christmas, and there’s £15,000 up for grabs hidden in prizes across England, Scotland and Wales.

The giveaway has been inspired by their Christmas advert, which features a mischievous ‘fool’ who tries to ruin people’s Christmases with cheeky antics such as stealing their batteries and turning off their Christmas lights.

All shoppers need to do is find one of the 600 fools hidden across major cities, you’ll just need to find one of the cheeky fools and then tweet a picture of it to @Argos_Online. Each fool comes with a note tied around its neck revealing instructions on how to claim an Argos voucher.

Voucher-laden fools will be hitting the streets from Tuesday 11 December to Sunday 16 December – so keep your eyes peeled – and the prizes go up to £500 in value.

Shoppers will be able to plan their fool hunt by following Argos’s Twitter and Instagram feeds, as the high street favourite will post clues on where the fools are being placed in different locations on different days.

Lucky Argos fans will be able to use their vouchers with their Fast Track  delivery service. Even this close to Christmas shoppers can use the same day delivery when they order before 6pm. Don’t forget their Click and Collect service at more than 1,200 Sainsbury’s and Argos locations too.

An Argos spokesperson said “For many hard-working families, the festive season doesn’t come cheap, so we wanted to give people a helping hand with our £15,000 giveaway and help Brits to fool-proof their Christmas.  It’s also a chance for our customers to capture a cheeky fool of their own and make sure they don’t wreak havoc on the big day.”
