    As a guide, Sainsbury’s opening hours over the Bank Holiday weekend will be as follow:

    • Saturday 25 August – normal opening hours

    • Sunday 26 August – normal opening hours

    • Monday 27 August – stores in England and Wales will operate amended trading times on the Bank Holiday – you can check when your local store will open using the store locator tool on the supermarket’s website.

    Tesco

    Supermarket giant Tesco has vowed to keep all stores open over the long weekend, however reps at Tesco do advise customers to check online via the retailer’s website to get the most accurate timings for their local branch.

    As a guide, Tesco opening hours over the Bank Holiday Weekend will be as follows:

    • Saturday 25 August normal opening hours for all stores.

    • Sunday 26 August normal opening hours for all stores.

    • Monday 27 August – Stores in England and Wales will open from 9am to 6pm. All Tesco Metro stores will also open from 9am to 6pm and all Express stores open normal hours. In London and Scotland, Extra and Superstore branches will open from 8am to 10pm.

    Waitrose

    Waitrose’s opening times over the Bank Holiday weekend will vary. We’ve provided an overview below, however for more details regarding your local branch check the online store finder .

    As a guide, Waitrose opening hours over the Bank Holiday Weekend will be as follows:

    • Saturday 25 August – normal opening hours.

    • Sunday 26 August – normal opening hours.

    • Monday 27 August – The majority of Waitrose shops will be open from 8am to 8pm but shoppers are advised to check timings for local branches using the online store finder.Monday 28 August: The majority of Waitrose shops will be open from 9am to 6pm, with some opening from 8am to 8pm-20:00. A small number of stores will only operate from 10am to 4pm – but shoppers are advised to check timings for local branches using the online store finder. The majority of Little Waitrose convenience shops will trade normal hour.

    ASDA

    Asda has advised us that stores in England and Wales will operate reduced opening times, while Scottish stores will open as normal.
