Congressional members from Colorado hit with Russian sanctions.

All seven members of Colorado’s U.S. House delegation are among hundreds of members of Congress facing sanctions from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry is sanctioning 398 of the 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives, Moscow-backed state media reported on Wednesday, according to The Daily Mail. The sanctions are in retaliation for the Biden administration placing sanctions on 328 members of Russia’s Putin-influenced parliament known as the Duma.

U.S. Reps. Joe Neguse, Lauren Boebert and Doug Lamborn took to Twitter on Wednesday to comment on the international development brought on by the war in Ukraine and political measures and counter measures.

Neguse, D-Lafayette, said Wednesday on Twitter that he’ll “definitely wear it as a badge of honor.”

The lawmakers targeted include the House’s leadership and committee chairs. Neguse, Boebert and Lamborn serve on the House national resources committee.

Neguse serves on House leadership as co-chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, as a member of the House Judiciary Committee and the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.

Boebert, R-Silt, also commented on Twitter about the Putin sanction. “Judge me by the enemies I have made,” she said.

Boebert is assigned to the subcommittee on Indigenous peoples of the United States, the subcommittee on water, oceans and wildlife, and the committee on the budget.

“Oh no! Lol,” said Lamborn on Twitter, linking to an Axios story on the development.

Lamborn, R-Colorado Springs, serves on the House armed services committee.

“The sanctions mark yet another escalation in reprisals from Russia in response to mounting U.S. sanctions over the unprovoked invasion in Ukraine,” according to Axios.

Russia had already sanctioned senior members of the House like Speaker Nancy Pelosi and those in national security and foreign leadership. On Wednesday, President Joe Biden approved $800 million in new military assistance to Ukraine, including artillery and helicopters.

“We must continue to assist the people of Ukraine,” Neguse said on Twitter. “And we will.”
