Joe Biden addressed the United Nations in his first speech as President on Tuesday. The US President spoke about the importance of allies working together to combat the areas of equal concern. However, President Biden failed to acknowledge the latest row the US is having with the European Union over its AUKUS deal.
European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen insisted the US needed to explain how the AUKUS deal occurred and why the EU was not informed.
The deal between the US, Australia, and UK saw Australia subsequently pull out of a billion Euro agreement it had with France to buy submarines.
