The Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary will offer legal and technical expertise. Help includes “witness relocation” and jailing in British prisons those convicted of atrocities.
It comes as the Government investigates how it can stop oligarchs using the UK legal system to “intimidate and silence” critics.
Attorney General Suella Braverman has spoken to Ukraine’s prosecutor general Iryna Venediktova about getting evidence of war crimes, which Mr Raab says is an “immediate priority”.
Mr Raab said: “Russian commanders carrying out war crimes should know they cannot act with impunity.”
