Lil Nas X fans, rejoice! His new single and music video, titled\u00a0“Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” are here\u00a0\u2013 and fans, including his dad, have a lot to say.<\/p>\n
The video, out Friday, shows the singer in a colorful fantasy world, where he plays multiple characters and slays in elaborate makeup, hair and costuming.<\/strong>The new song is the title track for his upcoming album “Montero.” According to Lil Nas X, the full project is expected to release this summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n Fans were quick to celebrate\u00a0the video on social media.<\/p>\n “Lil Nas X came through with Montero \ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\ude2d” user\u00a0@ArthShahverdyan tweeted.<\/p>\n “I can truly say that Lil nas x put his whole soul into Montero\/ CMBYN and it shows I\u2019m low key speechless,” user\u00a0@_kingxay wrote.<\/p>\n Others praised the video\u00a0and track for being unabashedly queer.<\/p>\n “Lil Nas X being unapologetically BLACK & GAY, giving queer kids someone to look up to AND pissing of homophobes in the process >>>>>>>” user\u00a0@atb__william tweeted.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lil Nas X accepts the award for Best Music Video for 'Old Town Road' during the Grammy Awards preshow. The rapper shared a screenshot of the message on twitter that read:\u00a0“Very creative video. I got through it. Congratulations. Live life on your terms.
