Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., took to Twitter Monday to criticize policing in the U.S. after the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright, a Black man, during a traffic stop in a Minneapolis suburb.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are sick and heartbroken,&#8221; she tweeted. &#8220;In the closing days of Derek Chauvin\u2019s murder trial, Brooklyn Center police killed 20 year old Daunte Wright, another Black man, during a traffic stop. This violence is a basic part of police interactions with communities of color. It must stop.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/cf-images.us-east-1.prod.boltdns.net\/v1\/static\/694940094001\/38b3b040-414f-4af5-b66a-f390bd77e830\/4fcf694c-de7d-45fd-925d-d4e8f610cae0\/1280x720\/match\/720\/405\/image.jpg?ve=1&amp;tl=1\"><\/p>\n<p>Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon described the shooting death Sunday of Wright as &#8220;an accidental discharge.&#8221; It happened as police were trying to arrest Wright on an outstanding warrant.
