Julia Hartley-Brewer lashed out at the European Union for “ramping up” the Brexit divide over Northern Ireland. The talkRADIO host demanded Brussels stop “messing about” during a fiery interview with Labour’s shadow foreign secretary Lisa Nandy. This comes as French President Emmanuel Macron warned Britain that the Brexit deal is not renegotiable ahead of the G7 summit.

In a defiant intervention ahead of his trip to Cornwall, Mr Macron even appeared to raise questions about whether Boris Johnson and the UK could still be trusted.

Dominic Raab fired back and insisted “the ball is very much in the EU’s court”.

The Foreign Secretary told Sky News this morning that the EU must be “less purist, more pragmatic and more flexible” on the protocol.

Ms Hartley-Brewer echoed this during her scathing rant this morning, as she pointed out discrepancies in the EU’s line of thinking.
