Speaking to GB News Liam Fox levelled a volley of criticism at Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. He attacked Ms Sturgeon for not laying out clear guidelines for who could vote in a second Scottish Independence referendum highlighting how almost one million Scots live outside of Scotland. He then went on to lambast Ms Sturgeon for repeated efforts to bag a Second Scottish Independence Referendum despite saying it was a once in a generation vote.

Speaking to GB News, Mr Fox said: “Given that there are about 800,000 people who were born in Scotland and who work in different parts of the UK.

“If the referendum were to be about the future of the people of Scotland then I think it would be to allow the people voting in that referendum who come from countries overseas and happen to be living in Scotland.

“But not give people a vote who were born in Scotland.

“Also there are lots of logistical problems associated with it.”

“Is it about the future of the people of Scotland

“And does that not include the people who were born in Scotland but live in another part of our United Kingdom?

“I would say however what referendum? We were told the last one was once in a generation.

“Maybe for Scotland that’s the generation of seven years but for the rest of us that’s about 25 years.”
