North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un showed off what many observers believed was a much slimmer figure at a military parade this week, and at least one Fox News host is thrilled with the apparent transformation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s fit, he\u2019s fun and he\u2019s fascist!\u201d Rachel Campos-Duffy said on \u201cPrimetime,\u201d mimicking the commentary that might accompany a fashion show. \u201cTake a look at Kim Jong Un flaunting his new tan and slim physique at the North Korean military parade.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
She showed images of the dictator \u2015 one of the world\u2019s most infamous human rights abusers \u2015 and said \u201cafter this photo op, many might start calling him Slim Jong Un.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Guest Jimmy Failla, a comedian, said he doesn\u2019t buy it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHe does look good!\u201d Campos-Duffy interrupted. \u201cI\u2019m sorry, he looks better than our president!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Failla argued it was a body double.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Campos-Duffy delivered her praise of the physique of an actual authoritarian dictator without irony on a show that also featured guests calling President Joe Biden an authoritarian:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Human Rights Watch says North Korea is \u201camong the world\u2019s most repressive countries,\u201d noting:<\/p>\n
\n\u201cA 2014 UN Commission of Inquiry found that the government committed violations amounting to crimes against humanity, including extermination, murder, enslavement, torture, rape, and forced abortions. North Korea operates secret prison camps where presumed government opponents face torture, forced labor, and starvation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The U.S. State Department also has a lengthy report detailing the human rights abuses committed by Kim\u2019s regime.\u00a0<\/p>\n
