The former Labour leader has kept tight-lipped about the incident on social media, despite sending multiple tweets on other topics since the protesters targeted Sir Keir. MPs from all political parties were quick to condemn the mob last night.<\/p>\n
Police officers were forced to bundle the Labour leader into a police car after protesters screamed abuse and chased him down the street.<\/p>\n
He was walking past the New Scotland Yard headquarters towards Parliament when he was confronted.<\/p>\n
Activists could be heard screaming “traitor” as they targeted the Holborn & St Pancras MP.<\/p>\n
While the group makes references to a slur on Sir Keir that he had failed to prosecute Jimmy Savile when Director of Public Prosecutions, the group was largely raging against Covid vaccination and lockdowns.<\/p>\n

Mr Corbyn’s older brother, Piers, who is a notorious Covid conspiracy theorist, was present at the scene.<\/p>\n
After Sir Keir had been rushed to safety by police he even addressed the gathered crowd.<\/p>\n
The mob has sparked renewed concern about the safety of MPs.<\/p>\n
Parliamentarians were quick to share their outrage at the abuse.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the scenes were “absolutely disgraceful”, while Home Secretary Priti Patel said MPs “must be able to go about their lives without fear of threats or intimidation”.<\/p>\n
Labour’s Yvette Cooper said the scenes that unfolded “should never have any place in our democracy”.<\/p>\n
