EXCLUSIVE: <\/strong>Shadowhunters <\/em>alumna Katherine McNamara has signed with Independent Artist Group for representation. <\/p>\n McNamara is maybe best known for her starring role as Clary Fray on all three seasons of Freeform’s Shadowhunters, <\/em>based on the bestselling The Mortal Instruments<\/em> novels. She most recently starred as the title character of Abby Walker in CW’s Walker: Independence<\/em> and in Charlie Day’s directorial debut film Fool’s Paradise<\/em> starring Day, Ken Jeong, Kate Beckinsale and Adrien Brody.<\/p>\n McNamara also starred in the CW’s Arrow<\/em> as Mia Smoak Queen (aka Blackstar\/ Green Arrow). She Agencies<\/span><\/p>\n Breaking News<\/span><\/p>\n McNamara began her career on Broadway at the age of 13 as Fredrika in A Little Night Music<\/em>, starring opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury as well as Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch. She has also been cast in a number of Equity workshops\/readings, including Pan<\/em>, which was created by Jeffery Sellers, Alex Lacamoire, and Rajiv Joseph and the In the Heights<\/em> creative team, as well as Little Dancer, <\/em>the musical directed by Susan Stroman. McNamara made her big screen debut in Warner Bros.’ New Year’s Eve, <\/em>directed by the late Garry Marshall.<\/p>\n Also a singer-songwriter who plays guitar and piano, McNamara wrote and performed “Making a Monster Out of Me” which can be heard in episode 1 of “The Stand.” She also released “Ember” (2017), featured in Shadowhunters<\/em> Season 2 finale which hit the top 100 of iTunes the week of its release. <\/p>\n McNamara continues to be repped by Atlas Artists and Jackoway Tyerman.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n
was recently seen in Paramount+ miniseries The Stand, <\/em>opposite James Marsden, Whoopi Goldberg and Alexander Skarsgaard, as well as the independent feature Finding You<\/em> opposite Vanessa Redgrave. She originated the role of Sonya in the second Maze Runner <\/em>film The Scorch Trials<\/em>, and she reprised the role in Maze Runner: The Death Cure <\/em>alongside Dylan O’Brien and Kaya Scodelario for 20th Century Fox.
