World Markets Trends

Hawkish comments from Fed officials continued to drain the euphoria surrounding the drop in inflation readings in the U.S. Strong retail sales numbers from the U.K., a spike in inflation in Japan, mixed earnings updates and hawkish comments from the ECB also swayed market sentiment.

Asian stocks finished trading mostly on a negative note. European benchmarks are however trading higher. Wall Street futures too have edged up.

Dollar Index hovered near the flatline. Bond yields mostly hardened. Crude oil prices gained amidst fears concerning the impact of the E.U. ban on Russian crude oil. Gold edged up. Cryptocurrencies remained firm.
